AZOREAN PREMIERE FOR SEVERAL MODELS

Besides the debut of the Toyota Yaris in the mono-brand Iberian Cup, the 56th Azores Rallye will mark the first kilometres of several competition models on Azorean soil. Debuting before the always enthusiastic local public will be cars such as the Hyundai i20N Rally2, Skoda Fabia R4 and Renault Clio in Rally4 and Rally5 versions.
The Hyundai i20N Rally2 is the Korean brand’s new weapon for this group. It was apesented in 2021 at the Ypres Rally and only became available at the end of last year. It features a 1,600 cc turbocharged engine and around 300 horsepower. It is an evolution of the previous i20 R5, which had some limitations in relation to the references in the category.
The Skoda Fabia R4 was developed by Proracing Engineering and has a 1.600 cc turbocharged engine that develops 263 horsepower. The four wheels transmission is done through a 5 speed Sadev gearbox. Using the same basis, the Rally4 and Rally5 versions of the Renault Clio have an engine of around 1,330 cc and front-wheel drive.
