Azores Rallye’s important team is the one composed by the event’s doctors, nurses and rescue means. Led by Dr. Joana Mendes, this team met on several occasions before the race to update several advices that most of its elements had in mind from past collaboration in identical races.
On that occasion, issues such as safety at the support posts in the assistance park, connection sections and qualifying, the need to comply with the access schedules to these posts, the review of the materials carried and the means of communication, the provision of assistance and the order to trigger the intervention, among others, were discussed. The Azores Rallye’s medical team is made up of 21 doctors and 23 nurses.
