At the start of the 56th Azores Rallye there will be two drivers with a record of participations in the organization of the Grupo Desportivo e Comercial. Rui Torres is the driver who has participated more times in the event. The veteran local driver started this race 5 times as co-driver and, as driver, this will be the 20th time, with a Ford Escort Mk II, that faces the most important rally of the archipelago. Another driver celebrating an anniversary at the end of this week is João Faria. The competitor from Rabo de Peixe was at the start of this race in 2006 as co-pilot and has been at the wheel since 2007. Driving his usual Peugeot 206 RC, Faria will have his 15th consecutive Azores Rallye.
