The rally driver born at Terceira island, returns to rallying after a successful three event sports campaign back on 2018 where he delighted Azorean motorsport fans driving an Azorean Rutor-built Ford Fiesta Proto on two events (Rali Sical and Rali das Sanjoaninas/Clubauto) and a Skoda Fabia R5 on Rali Além Mar/Ilha Lilás. Louro’s return will now be made aiding Azores Rallye Organizing Committee driving the car that comes right before the first competitor on the road.
But Gustavo Louro will not do it without a purpose: he will drive a soon to be announced rally car decorated with the last livery used by another Azorean rally champion, Horácio Franco, that passed away on 2017, when he ran on the 2007 edition of former SATA Rallye Açores.
Gustavo Louro, the six-time overall Azorean rally champion will drive at the 55th Azores Rallye under a project that intends to honour the São Miguel island born rally driver and entrepreneur, Horácio Franco.
