OLE CHRISTIAN VEIBY AT AZORES RALLYE

Ole Christian Veiby will be one of the drivers to start the 57th edition of the Azores Rallye. The young Norwegian will be at the race to be held on March 31 and April 1 in São Miguel Island driving a Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 from the Spanish Team Race Seven, structure that supported the winner of the last edition of the event, Efren Llarena. Aged 26, born in 1996, Veiby made his rally debut in 2012 with a Ford Fiesta R2T. Two years later, he started an international career and in 2016 he became a regular presence in WRC events. The following year he won the Pacific Cup of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship in a Skoda Fabia R5. In 2016 he achieved his first absolute victory and in 2019 he became champion of his home country.

In the world rally championship, the driver has won twice and has been on the podium 11 times in WRC2, a competition in which he has topped a special stage 75 times. Besides rallying, Ole Christian Veiby has been a regular in autocross in World RX, where he has represented VW. He has already been in the fight for the title in a championship in which he achieved fourth place in 2022 after being on the podium five times.
