Pedro Câmara enters the 57th Azores Rallye with the goal of “finishing and continuing the positive evolution that we achieved in 2022. I finished the gravel phase of the championship with a certain disappointment, our opponents are theoretically stronger but we are working harder than ever. I think we are well prepared, we have studied a lot and we will improve several technical details. We will see what is the feeling on the gravel to go looking for the best possible result. In 2022 the CAR had four different winners and this year should be very competitive again. We will think about the championship but, I don’t hide, to go as fast as possible. What’s more, it will be great to be part of this party and a joy to compete with the best driver of all time, Sebastien Loeb”.
The Citroën C3 Rally2 driver is 42 years old and took his first steps in rallying in 2001 with a Lancia Delta HF Turbo. Between 2004 and 2006 he drove a Toyota Celica and in 2008 and 2009 he was at the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII. This inactive several years and returned for some sporadic appearances between 2018 and 2020. Since 2021 he is at the wheel of the current car. Adapting to a much more competitive model, Câmara reached the podium twice and won the last two races of the 2022 Azorean championship.
