Bruno Amaral is back in the Azores Rallye with the ambition of “continuing the evolution process, going up step by step. So, I intend to do better than last year and keep improving until I reach the front positions. Now I know the car better, with which I’m more familiar, and that will also allow me to be faster. Besides, our Ford Fiesta R5 had all its mechanics renewed and the suspensions improved, so we have everything to improve. I really liked the solution found for the rally itinerary and I’m going to take the opportunity that Além Mar gives me to continue living the dream”.
The Team Além Mar driver is 42 years old, was born in February 1981, and started in rallying in 2007 with a Peugeot 205 GTi. In the following year he took the wheel of a Citroën Saxo Cup and was several times on the podium of the class in which he was inserted. In 2009 and 2010 he drove a Citroën C2 R2 and between 2011 and 2020, with a stop between 2014 and 2017, he was at the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII. Since 2021, he has been using his current Ford Fiesta R5, with which he has already been on the podium twice in the Azores Rally Championship.
