The Azores Rallye will be on display at Parque Atlântico until September 18th.
The many thousands of users of the Sonae Sierra shopping mall will be able to get to know better what is going to be the 55th edition of the region’s greatest sports event.
Information on the race´s schedule and itinerary is available, as well as the COVID-19 related rules and the environmental certification recently acquired.
Fans may also enjoy a miniature´s exhibition, some with diorama, of all the winners of the race´s 54 editions, relevant participants in the Azores Rallye and of machinery that make enchant the world rallies.
In actual size there will be a Lancia Delta, in its most muscled version, with a historic decoration and with all of the race´s winner indicated on its hood.
João Mota, Parque Atlântico´s director, says he could not pass on the opportunity to associate to something that it is “so important to the Azoreans. This is our contribution to the race”.
Rui Moniz, president of the Grupo Desportivo Comercial, is certain that “this is the ideal place to publicly take off the Azores Rallye. Almost certainly it is where, at the present, more people in São Miguel pass by. So, I am grateful to Sonae Sierra for joining GDC in promoting the event”.
The Azores Rallye is organized by the Grupo Desportivo Comercial and takes place between the 16th and the 18th of September on the roads of São Miguel, in the Azores, as the fifth of eight races of the FIA European Rally Championship, the fourth of seven of the Azorean Championship and the second of three of the Azorean Gravel Rally Trophy.
