AZORES RALLYE WITH DOUBLE GOAL

Luis Miguel Rego will start the Azores Rallye with “double goals. On the first day we will care about the Azores Rally Championship and Sunday we will run more free and with chances to think about the general classification, depending, of course, of our performance in the previous day. In this rally there will be some not so famous foreigners, but very fast and high quality drivers and we must also point out the return of the CPR. It will be a very competitive rally.
We want to be among the best Portuguese and Azorean drivers. In principle, the drivers from the Azores have a better knowledge of the terrain but, after many participations, some pilots from the CPR and foreigners also have experience in São Miguel. Our advantage is relative. Let’s hope that the weather will give us a truce and that the rally will be a great show and provide fantastic images to promote the beautiful destination that is the Azores.”
Luis Miguel Rego is 31 years old and took part in his first rally in 2008. He crewed various versions of Mitsubishi Lancer until 2015 and between 2016 and 2018 used Ford Fiesta R5. In the two following years he alternated between the latter model and Skoda Fabia R5 and was Azorean champion. In 2020 he will be behind the wheel of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo with the Além Mar colours, with which he will also face the season about to start.
