Ricardo Moura returns to the activity in the 56th Azores Rallye with the “goal of being part of this great event in the region. At this stage, I mainly want to enjoy this sport and I am less concerned with the result. Of course, I have my pride and I want the best classification possible, but I must stress that the result is not the most important. We may again feel a lack of rhythm because we have not been running the same amount as our opponents. They came from a rally 15 days ago and that is another record. That will be an added difficulty. This presence will also be a way to repay all the support we have been receiving.”
Ricardo Moura, hero of the Azorean public, is 43 years old and took his first steps in rallying in 1999. He was ten times regional champion of the Azores, from 2008 to 2017 and three times national champion, between 2011 and 2013. Since 2019 he does not have such regular participations but they are always in the fight for the victory or for the remaining places on the podium at the Azores Rallye. In 2022, he will be back with a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo.
