One of the novelties of ERC 2022 and of this 56th Azores Rallye is the Power Stage, the last stage of the program and which awards a bonus score to the five fastest drivers. On the event organised by Grupo Desportivo Comercial, which has been on the road since Friday, this stage will be the second round through Ribeira Grande, 9.57 km very fast and with great spectacularity.
Ribeira Grande is the only city in the north of the island of São Miguel and faces the sea from its extensive and beautiful bay. The city has long been the capital of surfing and has hosted several international competitions and even the world championship of the specialty. The municipality’s presence in motor sports is also a happy reality and has been the privileged scenario for events such as rallies or endurance races.
