National champion, Ricardo Teodósio arrives in São Miguel with the goal of “continuing to adapt to the Hyundai and vice-versa, because we have to improve the car’s setup. The work done for Fafe didn’t have the result we wanted and, besides that, we still had many problems. Now we have to work for the next rally and try to get the best possible result within what we have. I need to make many kilometres with the new car and try new solutions. The Azores Rallye is one that we like and where I feel at ease. We will start with maximum focus and it would be good to win inside the CPR because, usually, foreign drivers are very fast. On the islands we must also always count on the weather conditions that can influence the result. It won’t be easy, but let’s do it!
Ricardo Teodósio, from the Algarve, is 46 years old and, after karting, he made his rallying debut in 2001. He soon became known for his spectacular performance, especially at the wheel of various versions of the Mitsubishi Lancer. He has also driven cars like the Citroën Saxo Kit-Car or Ford Fiesta R5. Between 2018 and 2021 he used two versions of Skoda Fabia and was Portuguese champion in 2019 and 2021. This year he is integrated in Team Hyundai Portugal with an i20N Rally2 and was 9th in the opening event of the ERC.
